There's just the barest flare of something in his gaze when she says she surrenders, impossible to put a word to, but the one soldier sitting nearest to her finds other places for his eyes to be when he catches it all the same, and there's going to be a fresh round of gossip starting from that side of the table as soon as they're gone.
"See that you do," he says in the Commander voice, but he's grinning ear to ear a moment later, "And your companions as well, of course," he glances over at Tataru, who happens to be looking back and squeaks and hides behind a soldier, "I think she's afraid of me." He's grinning slightly, still, because he knows she's not in the slightest.
